Obtaining a Criminal Record Certificate

Or rather, a certificate stating that you don't have a criminal record. This is required for certain jobs, visas, and opportunities.

Luckily the process is fairly straightforward. Certificates are obtained from the police in Japan, so please contact your nearest Prefectural Police Office (the Miyagi Prefectural Police are based in Sendai, next to the Prefectural Office kencho).
